ROLE MISSION

To lead their team to elevate the quick casual experience by providing Cambodian inspired, chef-driven, cravable food in a vibrant atmosphere.

 

JOB SUMMARY

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for ensuring the quality standards that make up the Num Pang brand are met.  The GM is responsible for the guest experience by providing the proper training and direction to their team. The GM is expected to be intimately familiar with all Num Pang systems and procedures in addition to all local department of health standards.  The GM is responsible and accountable for achieving agreed upon financial goals.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensures pars are set, updated and adhered to
  • Ensures all menu item specifications are met
  • Conducts thorough line checks daily
  • Ensures proper portioning tools are in place
  • Ensures all BOH Staff are properly trained
  • Conducts periodic tests to validate knowledge and skill
  • Tastes, examines and makes corrections on all food products as necessary
  • Ensures the 5 steps of service are consistently used by Brand Ambassadors
  • Ensures timing standards are met or exceeded
  • Builds good will in the local community by acknowledging regular guests by name
  • Creates an atmosphere where a high sense of urgency is understood
  • Ensures recipe manuals are updated and used
  • Conducts inventory on prescribed schedule
  • Completed payroll and other required financial processes on schedule
  • Communicates with the Human Resources Department New Hire scheduling
  • Regularly inspects equipment and communicated deficiencies as defined
  • Ensures uniform standards are met
  • Demonstrates integrity in all aspects through practicing and teaching our core values
  • Commits to developing and mentoring staff through conducting regular performance reviews
  • Ensures all department of health standards are met daily
  • Consistently examines store of cleanliness and sanitation

 

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills and abilities:

 

Specific Tasks

  • Literate in Mac or PC industry point of sale systems
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Planning capabilities, including time management, delegation and follow up
  • Ability to understand financial reports
  • Flexibility to travel over short periods of time
  • Demonstrated leadership skills that define the standards for execution, expectations for performance and business practices, and motivate to their achievement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English Language. Spanish as a second language preferable.

 

 

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education:

         High School Diploma Preferred

  • Food Handles Certification Required

 

Experience: 2-3 years working in Retail and/or Hospitality preferred.

 

Other:

Bilingual or multilingual ability preferred.
